All students in Year 9 - 13 are expected to bring a device to school with them to use as a learning tool. Katikati College has chromebooks that are available to be issued out during the school day please make contact with the Dean if you would like assistance with sourcing a Chromebook.

As a school we use Google Suite - Google Drive, GMail, Google Classroom etc.   

Features of a device that we feel are essential include: 

• Minimum screen size of 9”

• Wireless internet capability

• Battery life which will last a typical school day (at least 6 hours)

Others features to consider:

• Lightweight but robust enough to handle daily use

• Suitable, durable bag / cover for protection

• Suitable for use online and offline

• Chromebooks are a fit for 95% of students until senior school, where students might opt to take Art Design, Photography and Music Creation. Students taking these courses would need a device that would be compatible with the software required for these programmes of study. 

All of our students have been instructed on Cyber Safety and have shared the Student User Agreement at the beginning of every year.
